In 2023, the Apollonian Seminar organized by the Ognian Radev Foundation signed a cooperation agreement with the Municipality of Sozopol and the archaeological mission in Ravdinovo. The seminar has a history of field training, which includes morning practical sessions on archaeological sites from the classical Hellenistic period. Key highlights are the excavations, field conservation, and the documentation and cleaning of ceramics. The afternoon sessions include theoretical activities focused on cultural heritage, which involve expertise and connections from several fields.
This year we have two new elements:
- Underwater archeology lectures and diving in the Black sea waters
- 7 day reading workshop of a classial text with philosophical, semiotic and historical discussion.
